Caroline Belhumeur // Chief Creative Officer

Born in Bristol, England, Caroline Belhumeur moved to London at age 18 to study fashion at Kingston University.

Soon after graduating with a B.A., Honors in Fashion Design, Belhumeur was chosen by legendary designer Calvin Klein to work alongside him in New York at his namesake label. There, she cut her teeth in the industry absorbing the brand’s minimalist design aesthetic, while taking in the culture and energy of the city.

After several years at Calvin, Belhumeur landed a design role with London-based Fenn Wright Manson, where she would spend the next 10 years of her career. During this time, she honed her skills and industry prowess as a designer as she helped establish the brand’s menswear presence. Belhumeur would work her way up to the Design Director at the company.

Following her time at Fenn Wright Manson, Belhumeur joined menswear label Wilke Rodriguez overseeing design. There, she immersed herself in the world of textiles, helping to redefine the brand’s aesthetic through her nuanced approach to designing men’s tailored silhouettes. Belhumeur attributes this time period as setting the foundation for her modern day approach to design.

In the late nineties Belhumeur was appointed Design Director at sweater house White and Warren before being hired at Theory, where she focused on the Theory Luxe business under the leadership of CEO Andrew Rosen. For the next 3 years she created the luxury contemporary collection for for the US, Japan and Europe, building the brand identity and art directing all campaigns.

In 2008, Belhumeur joined Club Monaco as Vice President overseeing women’s apparel. By 2012, her role evolved to include accessories and she was appointed Senior Vice President, women’s apparel, and accessories. She was named Creative Director of the brand in 2014. Over the course of her nearly 10-year tenure at Club Monaco, Belhumeur led all aspects of the creative process for women’s and men’s apparel and accessories, from conceptualization to research and development to design. She was also instrumental in establishing the modern day Club Monaco shopping experience, setting the tone for in-store product presentation and visual displays. Additionally, Belhumeur played a critical role in driving the brand’s art direction for campaigns, while also conceiving the brand’s present day digital voice.

Caroline Belhumeur joined Vince in May 2017 as Senior Vice President Creative Director. In 2021 she was promoted to Chief Creative Officer and currently leads all aspects of creative for the brand, from women’s and men’s apparel to footwear and accessories as well as brand, store and collaboration direction. She is based in Los Angeles and works out of the Design Studio in Hollywood.
